Osaki Electric Co., Ltd. (Tokyo) is pleased to announce that it has been selected for the first time as a constituent of the FTSE Blossom Japan Index and the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index, two of the leading ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investment indices.

Ⅰ. About the Selected FTSE Indices

  • The FTSE Blossom Japan Index and the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index are ESG indices developed by FTSE Russell, a global financial services provider based in the UK.
  • FTSE Russell evaluates companies based on publicly available information regarding their initiatives in areas such as corporate governance, occupational health and safety, anti-corruption, and climate change. Companies selected for inclusion in these indices are recognized as having met specific standards in their ESG practices.
  • These indices are widely used by domestic and international investors—such as pension funds and ESG-focused investment trusts—as key references for sustainable investment decisions.
  • The Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), one of the world’s largest institutional investors, has also adopted these indices for its ESG investment strategy.

Ⅱ. Future Initiatives

  • We will continue to advance our ESG initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders involved in our business.
  • As we move forward, we will regularly assess and address any practical challenges that arise, using tools such as periodic evaluations. We are also committed to disclosing the processes and outcomes of these efforts as appropriate.
