OSAKI ELECTRIC, a leading Japanese smart meter company, has been recognized with a B rating in the CDP Climate Change assessment for third consecutive year.
OSAKI group contributes to improving energy efficiency through the widespread adoption of our core product, the smart meter. We provide solutions to customers, including 'visualization of CO2 emissions,' 'support for formulating CO2 reduction plans,' and 'assistance with executing CO2 reduction plans,' all centered around energy management systems. In doing so, we are working towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions in society.
To ensure the steady reduction of greenhouse gas emissions within the Group, OSAKI has set a goal to reduce Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 46% (compared to fiscal 2013) by fiscal 2030. Additionally, in July 2024, OSAKI submitted a commitment letter to the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) *1, as the first step toward obtaining certification for its near-term science-based targets (SBTs) *2.
Moving forward, OSAKI is committed to contributing to the reduction of CO2 and other greenhouse gas emissions by visualizing these emissions and their reduction effects, in line with its corporate purpose: 'We create new value for society through the visualization of the invisible.'
